GUIDELINES:
In 2008, the Speedway will be tracking
proper tire sales using the serial
numbers shown on the sidewall of each
tire. When teams purchase tires, the
serial number will be taken from each
tire and filed with the given team's
driver/car. It is the teams
responsibility to make sure the tire
serial numbers are correct when leaving
the tire trailer. Once the tires are
purchased and the numbers are
registered, the numbers cannot be
changed. The only amount of tires that
can be purchased on a single date is the
amount listed above. Any teams found to
be abusing the tire rule, the tire
schedule, or racing with tires that have
not been registered will be
automatically disqualified following the
given event.
Note: The tires will stay with the
driver only. When one team has more than
one driver, the tires will stay with the
entered driver only. If any driver
switches into a different car, or subs
in for another driver because of
mechanical problems on their own car,
the tires MUST stay with the driver that
